KamKalima

Lebanese For-Profit
Ed-Tech Platform

KamKalima is an Arabic e-learning platform for grades 4–12 that enhances reading and writing with AI-powered, curriculum-aligned content and teacher tools.

Innovating Education: Impact Assessment of EdTech Solutions

Kamkalima, a leading EdTech platform for Arabic language learning, needed rigorous evidence to demonstrate its impact on student learning outcomes as part of an impact-linked financing model with the Impact-Linked Fund for Education. Despite promising uptake across 100+ schools, the challenge lay in proving that its tools could deliver measurable learning gains for vulnerable students in Lebanon—data critical to both scaling the platform and unlocking results-based funding. To address this, Kamkalima and ILF commissioned 360 Consulting to design and implement a mini-RCT and quasi-experimental study for Grades 1–12. Using robust data collection and analysis, 360 evidenced how Kamkalima’s digital tools improve literacy and engagement, while also strengthening ILF’s results-linked funding model. The findings now provide Kamkalima with a credible impact narrative, enabling it to scale with confidence and advance inclusive, quality education across the region.
